The Senior Claim Director will be responsible for investigating and resolving complex claims, developing resolution strategies, and negotiating settlements. This role requires strong analytical and communication skills, as well as the ability to work independently and make independent decisions using Chubb best practices for guidance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Investigate and resolve high exposure, medical risk, and long-term care claims
  • Develop and implement resolution strategies and negotiate settlements
  • Analyze coverage and communicate coverage positions as warranted
  • Evaluate exposure through in-depth analysis of legal and factual issues
  • Manage litigation counsel and develop strategy for complex litigation
  • Attend arbitrations, mediations, and trials
  • Review legal budgets and vendor bills
  • Present litigation strategy to senior management and underwriting staff
  • Support business leaders on claim and underwriting-related issues
Requirements:
  • Approximately 6-7 years of relevant claims and/or legal experience in healthcare/medical risk liability
  • Law degree strongly preferred
  • Property & Casualty Adjusters licenses in required jurisdictions within 30 days of employment

Chubb offers a comprehensive benefits package and a competitive salary range of $92,500 to $158,000. This role may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program.
