Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough investigations of complex personal lines claims, including property damage, liability, and personal injury claims.
  • Provide exceptional service to policyholders and claimants, addressing inquiries and concerns in a timely manner.
  • Evaluate claims by analyzing evidence, statements, and policy coverage, utilizing industry guidelines and best practices to determine settlement amounts.
  • Identify and evaluate potential risks associated with claims, recommending strategies to mitigate exposure for the company.
  • Negotiate settlements with policyholders, claimants, and third parties, ensuring all parties are treated fairly and professionally.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of claims, correspondence, and settlement negotiations in the claims management system.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including underwriting, legal, and risk management, to ensure comprehensive claims handling.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, or 1-5 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in claims adjusting, specifically within personal line and major/complex case handling.
  • Strong knowledge of insurance policies, claims procedures, and relevant regulations.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in claims management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Skills:
  • Auto bodily injury attorney represented and/or litigation experience in multiple states.
  • Multiple language skills a plus.
  • TX Adjuster License.
