Job Title: Sr. Graphic Designer

This is a unique opportunity to join the University Communications team as a Sr. Graphic Designer. As a key member of our creative team, you will play a lead design role in cross-functional projects, collaborating with graphic designers, writers, videographers, web designers, and others to deliver high-quality visual communications solutions.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement creative design concepts and strategies for a range of strategic projects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive and effective visual communications.
  • Design and produce a wide range of visual materials, including logos, signage, annual reports, ads, publications, branded collateral, social media graphics, event promotions, image creation, and motion graphics.
  • Direct photo shoots and illustration assignments.
  • Partner with editors, writers, web and video professionals to develop holistic creative solutions.
  • Serve as a brand ambassador and communicate and educate colleagues on creative and brand tools and assets.
  • Work on multiple projects concurrently while meeting deadlines and following schedules.
  • Contribute to creative concept presentations to leadership and others.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in fine arts, graphic design, or related field.
  • Four years of experience and a portfolio.
  • Link(s) to a portfolio of recent work must be submitted with application.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Familiarity using creative templated tools (ex. Marq, Canva).
  • Familiarity with motion graphic animation tools (ex. After effects, Spark, Canva).
  • Proven ability to develop, document and communicate strategic guidance.
