Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Principal Design Engineer to join our team at Northrop Grumman. As a key member of our Electrical Design and Analysis section, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing space hardware products. Your expertise in digital component design, analysis, modeling, and simulation will be crucial in translating system performance and operational specifications into hardware requirements, design, and test specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop space hardware products, including digital circuit design, schematic capture, and PWB/board layout
  • Lead multiple board designs from schematic capture to board release, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to communicate clearly and effectively, adapting to design challenges to meet program goals and deadlines
  • Apply Worst Case Circuit Analysis (WCCA) techniques, including logic compatibility, component derating, timing analysis, signal and power integrity analyses
  • Utilize design and analysis tools, such as Mentor graphics Xpedition and Hyperlynx, to ensure high-quality designs
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or comparable STEM degree, with a minimum of 9 years of relevant engineering experience
  • Proficient in digital circuit design, schematic capture, and PWB/board layout tools
  • Completed and/or led multiple board designs from schematic capture to board release
  • Experience with testing and using lab test equipment
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance
  • US Citizenship
Preferred Qualifications
  • Top Secret / SCI security clearance
  • Signal integrity analysis (SERDES, Bit error rates, jitter components and contributors, board to board analysis)
  • Proficient in design and analysis tools: Keysight ADS

Northrop Grumman offers a competitive salary range of $139,700 - $209,500, as well as a discretionary bonus and Long Term Incentives.
