Position Overview

The Senior Manager of Corporate Accounting plays a pivotal role in steering the financial integrity of our organization. This position encompasses the oversight of the month-end closing activities, ensuring meticulous maintenance of the general ledger, thorough review of journal entries, and precise account reconciliations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the month-end closing cycle, ensuring accuracy in general ledger entries and comprehensive account reconciliations.
  • Provide mentorship and hands-on support to team members, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability while ensuring deadlines are consistently met.
  • Lead the preparation and review of financial reporting packages on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Manage the consolidation of monthly financial statements utilizing Oracle's FCCS tool, ensuring proper inter-company balance eliminations.
  • Conduct thorough reviews and detailed analyses of accounting transactions and financial statements across various organizational units, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial reporting standards.
  • Oversee the preparation of documentation for 1031 exchanges, intercompany settlements, and distributions.
  • Act as the primary contact for the annual external audit of the Corporate business unit, facilitating additional audit processes as required.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance departmental efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Coordinate the completion of tax-related deliverables, including estimated income taxes and sales/use tax filings, in collaboration with the Corporate Tax Department.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 12 years of extensive accounting experience, showcasing significant leadership within a reputable Public Accounting firm or a complex corporate environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related discipline; CPA certification is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing teams of five or more and collaborating effectively with a diverse range of internal stakeholders.
  • Proficient in Oracle ERP systems, with a strong understanding of GL Manager functionalities.
  • Experience in driving automation within Oracle modules, leading to improved operational efficiency.
  • Proven success in managing system implementations and ensuring ongoing operational stability.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, with strong skills in financial modeling and analysis.
  • Results-driven approach with a history of meeting tight deadlines while managing multiple priorities.
  • Exceptional leadership capabilities, with a focus on developing high-performing teams and fostering a culture of accountability.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial concepts to a variety of stakeholders.

Compensation: $160,000 - $180,000, with potential for a discretionary bonus based on skills and experience.
