Sales Representative Job Summary

The Sales Representative will be responsible for conducting marketing and local outreach in the community to meet daily goals. The purpose of this role is to contact potential customers, referrals, and industry peers to inform them of our products, key features, and potential promotions. You will be contacting individuals requesting information directly, obtaining their details to be communicated to our sales department, and then operations and manufacturing for order review and fulfillment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Attend industry conferences and events to network with potential customers and industry professionals.
  • Accurately describe our products and services, leaving marketing materials with referral sources.
  • Obtain customer information and assist in taking calls from individuals requesting assistance or inquiring about boat lifts.
  • Schedule lunches with perspective local professional referral sources.
  • Respond to questions from individuals requesting services and promote Golden Manufacturing clearly, with integrity, honesty, and loyalty to our mission statement.
  • Achieve daily marketing goals as outlined by the supervisor (weekly updated CRM).
  • Work as a marketing team to drive results and meet sales targets.
  • Work autonomously as a self-starter regarding daily activities and tasks.
  • Demonstrate competency in Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel, Office, and Outlook.
  • Maintain attention to detail and a proactive work ethic.
  • Comply with all ongoing required work trainings and complete goals, tasks, and performance measures as outlined by submitting weekly, monthly reports, and quarterly marketing plans.
  • Submit reports as directed by the Business Development Manager and complete any additional tasks assigned by the supervisor regarding team goals.
Requirements:
  • Must have marine experience and knowledge of Golden Manufacturing products.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and effective presentation of program details and philosophy.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or other specific business and program-related software.
Education and Experience:
  • HS diploma or higher, minimum 1 year of marketing experience.
Other Requirements:
  • Completed health screening questionnaire.
  • Cleared background check.
  • Provided at least two professional references.
  • Completed applications, resume, and education if requested.
