About the Position

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Community Development Department as an Administrative Intern/Graduate Intern. This part-time position is designed to provide on-the-job training and valuable experience in the Building or Planning Division.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform research and analysis on assigned projects, prepare reports, and make recommendations for appropriate action
  • Provide technical and administrative assistance to department employees and the public
  • Maintain and update departmental files, records, and databases
  • Review applications, records, and files for completeness and conformance with established regulations and procedures
  • Assist department employees in the performance of assigned tasks
Requirements
  • Graduation from high school and current enrollment in an accredited college or university in pursuit of an associate's or bachelor's degree
  • Valid California Class C driver's license and an acceptable driving record
  • Satisfactory results from a background investigation, physical examination, and administrative screening
Working Conditions

This is a part-time, at-will, non-benefitted position with limited hours (less than 1,000 hours per fiscal year). Hours may vary significantly from week to week.
