Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a Research and Education Lead. This is a full-time, one-year position that will focus on conducting monarch research and surveys in Colorado, developing educational programs for military installations in multiple states, and participating in the development and implementation of other education-focused activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct milkweed and monarch surveys on military installations in Colorado.
  • Develop education programs about the monarch butterfly and organize events in multiple states.
  • Support and lead other educational activities at Environment for the Americas, including local programming, youth activities, and adult programs.
  • Contribute to the organization's communications by preparing articles on education programs and developing outreach flyers.
  • Communicate broadly with partners and work with other EFTA programs to integrate education materials into their activities.
  • Work within a project budget and complete a report of activities to be shared digitally and in-print.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 3 years of proven ability to organize activities, including relevant work experience.
  • Experience working with youth, adults, and families.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work in a timely fashion.
  • Ability to collaborate and make good judgments in day-to-day decision-making.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Program Organization: 3+ years of experience.
