Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Care Associate to join our team at Henry Ford Health System. As a Medical Care Associate, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support services.

About the Role

This is a Contingent day shift position located in Detroit. The successful candidate will have strong communication skills and be able to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse
  • Assist with planning and implementing patient care plans
  • Respond to emergent situations according to established procedures
  • Participate in own continuing education and professional development
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to meet one of the following criteria:

  1. Completion of a Nurse Assistant program (or similar) with experience
  2. Completion of a Medical Assistant program with or without experience
  3. At least 1 year of previous experience in an NA, PCT, PAT, or similar role
  4. Current enrollment in a nursing program with completion of Fundamentals of Nursing course
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) license preferred
  • BLS Heartsaver Certification required
