SUMMARY
The BMS Field Technician is tasked with delivering technical expertise related to the installation, diagnostics, testing, and upkeep of Burner Management Systems. This role emphasizes effective communication with team members and clients while ensuring a safe and organized work environment. The responsibilities of the Field Technician encompass, but are not limited to:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Traveling to various sites to perform service work and fulfill monthly maintenance obligations.
- Conducting inspections and troubleshooting equipment to enhance quality control and operational efficiency.
- Providing technical assistance to clients, manufacturers, and distributors regarding product installations and troubleshooting.
- Delivering onsite training and support to relevant personnel.
- Managing and overseeing inventory within the service vehicle.
- Securing necessary parts and supplies through the designated procurement process.
- Maintaining accurate records, including inventories of parts, equipment, tools, work orders, and timesheets.
- Exhibiting a willingness to travel as required.
- Ensuring cleanliness and organization of the work area and equipment.
- Adapting proactively to meet high standards in the work environment.
- Prioritizing and coordinating tasks to complete assignments both independently and collaboratively.
- Communicating effectively in both written and verbal formats with team members and management.
- Understanding and applying safety protocols and equipment at all times.
- Seeking opportunities for professional growth through training and education.
- Presenting oneself in a professional manner and adhering to company uniform standards.
- Addressing questions and concerns with management.
- Engaging with the company's vision and contributing to process improvements and goal setting.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong customer support and troubleshooting capabilities.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Competence in following detailed written or verbal instructions.
- Proficiency in moderate to advanced mathematical calculations.
- Innovative mindset suitable for a fast-paced, competitive environment.
- Familiarity with computers and office equipment.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Must be capable of lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to walk, sit, stand, climb, twist, push/pull, squat, crawl, kneel, and reach overhead.
- Repetitive hand, wrist, and arm movements are required.
- Average close and distance vision is necessary for data recording and equipment operation.
- Effective communication skills are essential.
- Ability to hear equipment sounds for diagnostic purposes.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Preferred experience in the oilfield and knowledge of Burner Management Systems.
- Two years of experience in the oil and gas sector is preferred.
- One year of mechanical knowledge is preferred.
- Safe Land certification is preferred.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
