Position Summary:
We are currently seeking a qualified Engineer 3 to spearhead our expanding Bridge Engineering Group within the Ohio Transportation Business Unit. This role is pivotal as we enhance our service offerings to clients including ODOT, OTIC, and local municipalities.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop plans, calculations, and specifications for transportation structures such as highway bridges, retaining walls, and box culverts, adhering to AASHTO and ODOT standards.
- Conduct analysis and load ratings for existing structures, proposing improvement strategies based on sound engineering principles.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and engage with clients to ensure project requirements are met effectively.
- Manage projects or tasks while adhering to budgetary and scheduling constraints with moderate supervision.
- Prepare engineering cost estimates, scope documents, and proposals, assisting Project/Task Managers as needed.
- Provide leadership and technical direction to project teams, ensuring high-quality service delivery.
- Monitor compliance with quality control standards and client specifications.
- Participate in site visits and occasional travel for client meetings, which may require overnight stays.

Qualifications:
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering.
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) License with reciprocity in multiple states.

Technical Skills:
- Assign tasks to both technical and non-technical staff, coordinating detailed engineering work.
- Develop scopes, budgets, and schedules for engineering assignments.
- Assist in proposal preparation for engineering services or project funding.

Management and Communication:
- Provide mentorship to junior engineers and direct reports.
- Exhibit professional attitudes and effective communication skills, capable of interpreting complex technical information.
- Lead project meetings and represent the organization in various engineering assignments.
