Job Title: Reliability Engineer

At KMS Solutions, we are seeking a highly skilled Reliability Engineer to join our team. As a Reliability Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and availability of our submarine systems.

Job Summary:

The Reliability Engineer will conduct analyses of reliability problems, investigate root causes, and develop action plans to prevent failures and maximize system reliability. You will work closely with our engineering team to design, develop, and implement reliability solutions that meet the needs of our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct reliability analyses and investigations to identify root causes of failures
  • Develop and implement action plans to prevent failures and maximize system reliability
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to design and develop reliability solutions
  • Use DoD 5000 to develop analysis methods and determine reliability of components and systems
  • Perform detailed reliability studies and calculations
Requirements:
  • Secret DoD clearance
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or a related field
  • Ten (10) years of engineering experience
  • Five (5) years of experience in reliability engineering
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or a related field
  • DoD 5000, Active-duty Navy, and/or Navy acquisition experience desired
  • Engineering experience with undersea warfare systems and/or Combat systems
Competencies:
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in independent and team environments
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Thoroughness and attention to detail
Work Environment:

This role operates in a professional office environment. The employee is regularly required to talk or hear, and must be able to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms.
