About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Deputy Director to join our team in the Office of Gift Planning, University Development and Alumni Relations. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, delivering, and administering fundraising programs to secure gifts for the University.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and manage a team of Gift Planning Officers to identify, cultivate, and solicit gift planning donors and prospects.
  • Develop and implement fundraising strategies to meet annual goals of $2M outright/life income gifts and $10M bequest gifts.
  • Collaborate with campus stakeholders to secure complex gifts, typically exceeding $100M per year.
  • Manage the Office of Gift Planning's fundraising programs to ensure successful meeting of predetermined goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in gift planning fundraising, including complex planned gifts.
  • Expert knowledge of gift planning, fundraising, and donor relations.
  • Strong management and leadership skills, with experience in supervising and mentoring staff.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with stakeholders.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of $180,000 to $210,000, commensurate with experience, and a comprehensive benefits package. This is a hybrid position with 50% remote work eligibility.
