Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Instrument Technician II to join our team at AbbVie. As an Instrument Technician II, you will be responsible for maintaining, calibrating, servicing, troubleshooting, and repairing measuring and test equipment, analytical laboratory equipment, and process control systems used in manufacturing, quality assurance, research and development, and plant utilities areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform skilled calibrations and services on measuring and test equipment according to written policy and procedures.
  • Repair and maintain all types of measuring and test equipment.
  • Process electronic work orders, house requisitions, and miscellaneous purchase orders.
  • Communicate the status of ongoing calibration and repair activities through various means.
  • Complete necessary qualifications on documents, including calibration procedures and standard operating procedures.
  • Develop recommendations for solving measuring and test equipment hardware and measurement problems.
  • Assist in establishing and documenting job plans, data sheets, and other service protocols.
  • Ensure compliance with GxP and safe work policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • High school education with a minimum of 4 years of related work experience or comparable military service training.
  • Knowledge of various laboratory, research and development, or process instrumentation.
  • Expertise in GMP/GLP laboratory practices.
  • Ability to troubleshoot various instrumentation using schematics and flowcharts.
  • Capability to work within and promote a team environment.
