Clery Act Compliance Specialist

The Clery Act Compliance Specialist will work under the direction of the Department of Public Safety at Portland Community College. The successful candidate will serve as the chief coordinator of Clery compliance, ensuring the college is in compliance with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and all associated regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and lead a CLERY compliance core team that meets regularly
Develop and chair a district Clery compliance committee that meets at least two to four times a year
Ensure the college is in compliance with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and all associated regulations
Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance
Collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance
Requirements
Possess certification or be able to pass the Clery Compliance Certification Course with D. Stafford & Associates within one year of employment
Advanced Clery Act Training, and experience with the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) and Title IX
Experience working with an institution of Higher Education with Clery compliance responsibilities
Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Criminal Justice, Human Resources, Emergency Management, Education, Administration, Paralegal Studies or related field
Four years of progressively responsible experience working in a compliance program in Higher Education

Working Conditions
The work is generally performed in an office environment with frequent interruptions and irregularities in the work schedule. Frequent reaching, walking, standing, lifting, stooping, or carrying equipment and materials may be required. Occasional travel within the college district may be required.
