Thus, it is crucial for the housekeeping team to execute their responsibilities with precision and professionalism, consistently meeting and exceeding established standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain a flexible work schedule, demonstrating reliability and punctuality.
- Adhere to the dress code and wear a nametag during shifts, ensuring a professional appearance.
- Complete all mandatory training and certifications in a timely manner.
- Greet guests warmly in public areas, fostering a welcoming atmosphere.
- Address guest inquiries and requests promptly, possessing thorough knowledge of hotel amenities and services.
- Report guest concerns and complaints courteously to ensure satisfaction while upholding professionalism aligned with hotel standards.
- Execute thorough cleaning tasks that align with brand quality expectations within designated timeframes.
- Ensure all necessary items are available for guest use in rooms, paying close attention to detail.
- Proactively inspect work to prevent guest issues, identify maintenance needs, and replenish items as required.
- Follow established health and safety protocols when handling cleaning supplies and equipment.
- Update room status on assignment sheets and communicate any discrepancies to the supervisor.
- Conserve energy by turning off lights and appliances in unoccupied rooms, and report any water leaks immediately.
- Notify the Supervisor of any room damages and document maintenance issues on work orders.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and hazard-free work environment at all times.
- Assist in keeping other areas of the hotel tidy and organized.
- Report any accidents involving guests or personal injury to a supervisor without delay.
- Restock the housekeeping cart as directed by the supervisor.
- Follow master key protocols to ensure the security of assigned keys.
- Identify and report any items left behind by guests according to the hotel's lost and found procedures.
- Work independently while following supervisor instructions with minimal oversight.
- Adhere to timekeeping policies regarding clocking in/out for shifts, breaks, and meals.
- Attend required meetings and training sessions as needed.
- Be knowledgeable of and able to follow the hotel's emergency procedures.
Physical, Mental, and Environmental Requirements:
- Perform job functions with attention to detail, efficiency, and within time constraints.
- Requires physical stamina and mobility, with the ability to stand for extended periods.
- Must be capable of pushing and pulling up to 50 lbs. and carrying up to 20 lbs.
- Ability to bend, reach, push, kneel, pivot, and grip items frequently throughout the workday.
Qualifications and Skills:
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to organize, plan ahead, and manage workload effectively.
