Position Overview

As a Senior Bridge Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the engineering design of bridge projects, primarily serving state and local Departments of Transportation (DOTs). Your focus will be on ensuring high-quality deliverables for various clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct the engineering design processes for bridge projects, emphasizing collaboration with state and local DOTs.
  • Facilitate coordination between different engineering disciplines and external consultants.
  • Develop comprehensive plans, specifications, cost estimates, and detailed reports.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers in the field of bridge and structural design.
  • Assist clients throughout the bidding and construction phases of projects.
  • Drive marketing initiatives, including crafting proposals and engaging with clients.
  • Negotiate contracts and establish fee agreements.
Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited program.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) registration in Missouri or eligibility for licensure through reciprocity.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage design teams effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership capabilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with the MoDOT Engineering Policy Guide and design standards.
  • Established connections with MoDOT staff and local municipal clients.
  • 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in MoDOT and Missouri transportation projects.
