Key Responsibilities:
  • Provides guidance, sets direction, and goals for the Mechanical discipline and team.
  • Creates functional strategies and objectives for Mechanical discipline and develops policies and procedures to support the functional infrastructure.
  • Sets comprehensive goals for performance and growth of staff and ensures project completion.
  • Implements and manages company processes and procedures within the team structure.
  • Works across discipline and indirect organizations to identify opportunities for improving quality, efficiency, and cost savings.
  • Serves as technical expert for team, using expertise in all steps of completing discipline components.
  • Maximize the integration of all project functional requirements into a complete project plan.
  • Coordinate design requirements and decisions with other disciplines, BIM department, and project management.
  • Travel as required for client visits and field inspections providing mentorship to junior staff.
  • Engage in ongoing learning and professional development to maintain technical knowledge.
  • Attend client meetings with project managers and senior staff.
Requirements:
  • Minimum Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in Architectural, Mechanical, or Construction Engineering plus 10+ years of demonstrated experience or the equivalent education and experience.
    • REVIT/AutoCAD and office computer proficiency.
    • Advanced knowledge of local codes and amendments, with the ability to interpret and apply the codes towards system design and calculations.
    • Advanced familiarity with building structures, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems and how they interact.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • Professional Engineering (PE) license.
    • 5+ years of managerial experience.
