Data Center Infrastructure Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Center Technician to join our team at Maxar Technologies. As a Data Center Technician, you will be responsible for supporting our physical data centers on a layer 1 and hardware level for numerous operating domains. Your primary focus will be on cabling infrastructure, cable design, and data center maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and implement cabling infrastructure in offices and remote locations
* Travel to and from our facilities to support cabling projects
* Cable design and installation in data centers and critical IT spaces
* Run and maintain the data center, including structured cabling, power, and cooling
* Track and label all connections and assets in IT spaces and data centers
* Monitor ticket queues and coordinate maintenance with internal team members
* Work with remote hands to troubleshoot and resolve incidents
* Install servers, storage, and network gear into server racks
Requirements
* Must be a U.S. citizen and have a U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance
* Bachelor's degree or four additional years of experience may be substituted for a degree
* Minimum of 2 years of related work experience
* Experience with server deployment and troubleshooting
* Ability to travel 20% between our facilities
* Ability to be on call on a rotational basis
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience with structured cable design and implementation
* Understanding of Agile methodologies
* Previous experience with medium-to-large-scale infrastructure installations
* Previous experience working on a distributed team
* Experience with SharePoint, Visio, and Excel
* Good time management and communication skills
* Self-driven and self-organizing
