Job Summary

Bloom Talent is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief of Staff to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the personal and family life of a high-net-worth entrepreneur.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Staff Management: Serve as the liaison for all staff-related matters, ensuring efficient communication and execution of directives.
  2. Partnership and Collaboration: Partner with the business assistant to ensure personal and professional commitment and priorities align.
  3. Performance Evaluation and Development: Evaluate the performance of current household operations and develop a scalable, flexible model to accommodate growing, complex needs.
  4. Team Leadership: Manage and lead the entire family office team and contractual employees, including hiring, training, performance management, and compensation.
  5. Project Management: Project manage and prioritize tasks amongst staff and contractors through software tools like Asana.
  6. HR Policy Development: Develop and implement HR policies and procedures for household staff.
  7. Financial Operations: Oversee all financial operations, including controls, accounting, budgeting, reporting, and allocation of funds across lifestyle, business, and dependent expenses.
  8. Budgeting and Reporting: Oversee and develop budgets for household operations, projects, and capital expenditures. Provide monthly financial and project progress reports to principals.
  9. Conflict Resolution and Transition Management: Oversee transitions/changes and implement sound judgment when dealing with conflict resolution.
  10. Meeting Coordination and Event Planning: Coordinate and manage high-level meetings, travel arrangements, and special events for the family.
  11. Vendor Management and Contract Negotiation: Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with external vendors, service providers, and advisors.
  12. Strategic Support and Project Execution: Provide strategic support on ad hoc projects such as property and vehicle acquisition, home renovations, tax optimization, and residency planning across multiple markets.
  13. Security and Confidentiality: Ensure the security, confidentiality, and privacy of the family and their assets.
Requirements
  1. Experience: 5+ years of experience in an operational role within a family office or similar high-net-worth environment.
  2. Problem-Solving and Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to be resourceful in finding solutions to complex issues. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with high-net-worth individuals, family members, and diverse staff.
  3. HR and Employment Best Practices: Thorough understanding of human resources and employment best practices.
  4. Organizational and Time Management Skills: Highly organized and detail-oriented. Calm under pressure and able to manage multiple high-priority tasks simultaneously.
  5. Financial Acumen and Knowledge: Strong financial acumen is desired with a background in finance, accounting, or business management. In-depth knowledge of tax laws, residency requirements, and wealth management strategies is a huge plus.
  6. Discretion and Confidentiality: Ability to maintain the highest level of discretion and confidentiality. Trustworthy and always acting in the best interest of the principal.
  7. Education: Bachelor's degree required; MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.
