Job Summary:

The Actuarial Analyst will play a crucial role in developing actuarially sound capitation rates and conducting actuarial analysis for the agency. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate complex ideas effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement actuarial models to analyze and predict healthcare costs
  • Conduct thorough reviews of capitation rate development and review processes
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely reporting
  • Stay up-to-date with regulatory requirements and industry developments
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in mathematics, actuarial science, finance, economics, or statistics
  • Two years of experience in financial analysis or capitation rate setting, or one or more actuarial examinations passed
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Medicaid managed health care
  • Knowledge of actuarial standards and regulations
