About the Role

Mercer, a leading global consulting firm, is seeking a skilled Government Healthcare Financial Consultant to join our team. As a key member of our Government Human Services Consulting (GHSC) team, you will work closely with state governments to examine financial reports and provide expert analysis to ensure efficient use of Medicaid dollars.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with state governments to analyze financial reports and identify areas for improvement
  • Collaborate with credentialed actuaries and financial executives to ensure Medicaid dollars are being utilized effectively
  • Develop and implement financial models to support client recommendations
  • Work closely with client project managers to define project scope, timelines, and deliverables
  • Ensure regular communication with clients to review project status and expectations
Requirements
  • BA/BS degree in a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in healthcare financial analysis, including financial modeling and rate setting
  • Advanced MS Office skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
