About the Role

Ryder Systems is seeking an experienced Operations Supervisor to join our team. As an Operations Supervisor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our maintenance facilities, overseeing the work of technicians, and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Workflow Management: Responsible for work analysis, planning, and scheduling, as well as productivity tracking and optimization.
  • Labor Management: Provides management, training, and development of all personnel assigned, including performance management and employee development.
  • Customer Management: Responsible for customer relationship management, including issue resolutions, customer satisfaction, and retention, as well as ensuring vehicle uptime.
  • Asset Management: Directs direct reports in maintaining the appearance and maintenance of assigned location, including sustaining 65 standards in all relevant shop areas of responsibility.
  • Quality Management: Responsible for quality inspections of PM and repairs, as well as performing in-process reviews of non-PM work.
  • Financial Management: Responsible for ensuring shift/shop delivers against net maintenance cost per unit objectives without sacrificing quality, safety, or customer satisfaction.
Requirements
  • H.S. diploma/GED required
  • Associate's degree preferred or 1-3 years or more experience in a maintenance operations environment required
  • Maintenance and technical experience in a shop environment required
  • Supervisory experience preferred
  • Experience with a shop management system preferred
