Job Description Overview

Oversee the daily functions of manufacturing facilities to guarantee reliability and consistency in production processes. This role significantly influences departmental operations and is accountable for planning and execution. While some autonomy is present, the focus remains on the execution of tasks within established operational guidelines and practices.

Key Responsibilities

Essential Duties
  • Management and supervision of front-line production staff, typically overseeing hourly workers.
  • Acquiring comprehensive knowledge in a specific technical area, leveraging prior experience and technical skills to implement policies and strategies.
  • Thorough understanding of critical business factors; utilizes this knowledge to effectively carry out personal responsibilities. Recognizes how the work of their team integrates with other teams and contributes to overall objectives.
  • Employs sound judgment and can suggest alternative solutions within defined parameters, with appropriate guidance. Utilizes past experiences and on-the-job training to address straightforward challenges. Accesses technical expertise and analytical skills necessary for problem-solving, often consulting multiple internal resources beyond their team.

Qualifications Required
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or a high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in manufacturing.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in machining or supervisory roles.
