Role Overview: The Patient Services Associate I plays a vital role in enhancing the patient experience by efficiently managing the arrival and departure processes associated with patient visits. This position primarily operates at the front desk of an outpatient facility, where the associate is responsible for verifying insurance, referrals, and patient demographic details.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate check-in and check-out processes, manage point-of-service activities, and schedule patient appointments using the EPIC system.
- Provide a warm and professional greeting to patients and visitors, whether in person or over the phone.
- Ensure a smooth flow of patients to examination rooms by prioritizing courteous and prompt service.
Qualifications: Previous experience in customer service or patient-facing roles in healthcare is preferred. Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination requirements is mandatory for employment in clinical settings.
