Banner - University Medical Group Tucson is seeking a dedicated and accomplished Assistant/Associate Professor of Pediatric Surgery in collaboration with the University of Arizona. This role involves delivering a comprehensive array of surgical services at our state-of-the-art medical facility.

Ideal candidates will be proactive, enthusiastic, and possess the ability to build collaborative relationships with various stakeholders within the Pediatric Surgery division. Our team operates in a vibrant environment that emphasizes multidisciplinary surgical and medical care for pediatric patients. This position is crucial to the women and children service line, presenting opportunities to contribute to the growth of fetal surgery clinical and research programs, alongside support for basic and translational research within the Tucson area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct a variety of pediatric general and specialized surgical procedures for both inpatient and outpatient settings.
  • Manage pediatric general surgery outpatient clinics across multiple locations.
  • Engage in resident education and provide mentorship to medical students and residents through lectures, didactics, and clinical instruction.
  • Participate in committee service as required by the College of Medicine.
  • Be available for night and weekend on-call duties.
  • Engage in research activities pertinent to academic medicine.
  • Deliver care across a wide spectrum of pediatric surgical interventions.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Board certification or eligibility in Pediatric Surgery.
  • Demonstrated ability in clinical and didactic teaching.
  • Proven experience working with diverse patient populations.
