Position Summary

This role is essential in facilitating the assembly process by preparing products for assembly, as well as managing the receipt, organization, and shipping of products to clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Adhere to established processes and guidelines, seeking supervisor assistance for any non-standard situations or challenges.
  • Unpack and prepare cabinetry for the assembly line.
  • Perform tasks including loading, unloading, sorting, picking, stocking, staging, fabricating, and transporting goods.
  • Manage the loading and unloading of materials in designated storage areas, including racks and trucks, ensuring proper stacking and sorting.
  • Implement protective measures, such as bracing and padding, to safeguard items during transport.
  • Ensure accuracy in item verification and order quality.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols and encouraging colleagues to do the same.
  • Operate forklifts or pallet jacks as necessary to deliver materials or complete tasks.
  • Utilize machinery effectively to fulfill job requirements.
  • Carry out additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED is strongly preferred.
  • 0-3 years of experience in a distribution setting.
  • Familiarity with machinery and tools is beneficial.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 80 lbs independently and up to 160 lbs with assistance in a physically demanding environment. Must be capable of repetitive movements, including bending and squatting.

Work Environment

  • This position requires periods of continuous physical activity, including walking, standing, stooping, climbing, and lifting materials or equipment, some of which may be heavy or awkward.
  • The work environment is generally comfortable but involves regular exposure to temperature variations, moving machinery, loud noises, and fumes, which may cause discomfort.
