Position Summary:
The Audiovisual Rack Assembly Specialist is accountable for the installation of electronic hardware and wiring components within audiovisual racks and systems, adhering to company standards. This role is integral to the Design and Engineering team, contributing to our mission of delivering top-tier sales and AV integration services.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Execute the process of receiving, inventorying, assembling, and installing AV equipment into racks with minimal oversight.
2. Fabricate equipment racks in accordance with wiring diagrams and quality assurance standards.
3. Install components and cabling as per engineering specifications.
4. Construct custom wiring harnesses and stock cables, ensuring quality through testing.
5. Maintain accurate records of inventory, including serial numbers and firmware versions.
6. Prepare AV rack cabinets for shipping, ensuring all documentation is complete.
7. Serve as the primary liaison between AV Engineering, Project Managers, and Warehouse for rack builds and equipment procurement.
8. Monitor fabrication requests and apply company methodologies to enforce project standards.
9. Communicate effectively with the warehouse regarding inventory and project status.
10. Organize and maintain the workspace and project documentation.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma required; college degree preferred.
- Minimum of one year of experience in audiovisual system installation and commissioning.
- CTS certification is highly desirable.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication abilities, both verbal and written.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Working Conditions:
This position may involve working in various environments, including both comfortable and less comfortable settings, and may require outdoor tasks or work in confined spaces.
Compensation and Benefits:
ITC offers a competitive salary and benefits package, including paid vacation, medical coverage options, and a 401k program after one year of service. Additionally, employees receive a stipend for personal cell phone use and tools necessary for the job.
