Position Title: Audio-Visual Rack Assembly Specialist
Department: Design and Engineering
Reports To: Director of Design
Position Summary: The Audio-Visual Rack Assembly Specialist is tasked with the assembly and installation of electronic hardware and wiring components within audio-visual racks and systems, adhering to company standards. This role is integral to the Design and Engineering team, contributing to a premier sales and AV integration program.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, inventory, and assemble AV equipment into racks with minimal supervision.
- Fabricate equipment racks in accordance with wiring diagrams and quality assurance standards.
- Install components and cabling as per engineering specifications.
- Create custom wiring harnesses and stock cables, ensuring high-quality workmanship.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory, including serial numbers and firmware versions.
- Coordinate with AV Engineering Staff and Project Managers regarding rack builds and equipment procurement.
- Monitor fabrication requests and ensure compliance with project standards.
- Assist in quality control and in-house production processes.
- Communicate project status and needs effectively to team members.
- Organize and maintain the workspace and project documentation.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma required; college degree preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in audiovisual system installation and commissioning.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficient in standard office software, including Google and Microsoft Office.
Working Conditions: The role may involve working in various environments, including air-conditioned spaces and outdoor settings, requiring adaptability to different conditions.
