Job Title: Registered Nurse - Advanced Care

Orlando Health is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at Lake Mary Hospital. As a Registered Nurse - Advanced Care, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse - Advanced Care will administer patient care in an area of the hospital where patients have an advanced illness or injury that requires timely, intense, and complex care. This role requires a lower caregiver-to-patient ratio and highly trained team members with advanced skills.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide critical knowledge, skills, and judgment to care for patients requiring complex assessment and therapies.
  • Utilize information and assessment data to anticipate and respond to rapidly changing patient conditions.
  • Identify and prioritize information to take immediate and decisive evidence-based, patient-focused action.
  • Monitor and adjust specialized equipment used on patients, and interpret and record electronic displays.
  • Respond to life-saving situations based on nursing standards and protocol.
  • Assess patient needs and develop/revised individualized plans of care based on patient needs and responses.
  • Evaluate patient progress toward attaining expected outcomes.
  • Respect diversity by building respectful relationships with all team members and customers.
  • Function as a patient and family advocate.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
  • Maintains current licensure as a registered nurse in the State of Florida or Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).
  • Maintains current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in Labor & Delivery.
