Key Responsibilities- Administer patient care in an area of the hospital where patients have advanced illnesses or injuries that require complex care.
- Utilize critical thinking and problem-solving skills to anticipate and respond to rapidly changing patient conditions.
- Monitor and adjust specialized equipment used on patients, and interpret and record electronic displays.
- Respond to life-saving situations based on nursing standards and protocol.
- Assess patient needs and develop individualized plans of care based on patient responses.
- Respect diversity and build respectful relationships with team members and customers.
- Function as a patient and family advocate.
- Communicate and collaborate with medical staff and interdisciplinary teams to effectively plan and manage patient care.
- Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
- Maintains current licensure as a registered nurse in the State of Florida or Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).
- Maintains current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification or willing to obtain within 30 days of hire.
- ACLS, NRP, PALS, TNCC are required for certain areas.
- 1 year Operating Room experience.
