Operating Room Registered Nurse

Orlando Health is seeking a highly skilled Operating Room Registered Nurse to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care in a fast-paced environment.
Job Summary:We are looking for a registered nurse with advanced care experience to work in our operating rooms across the hospital system. Our facilities are regularly recognized by Modern Healthcare's Best Places to Work, Forbes, Leapfrog, and we have multiple Magnet designation facilities.
Responsibilities:- Administer patient care in an area in a hospital or inpatient setting where patients have an advanced illness or injury that routinely requires timely, intense, and complex care to stabilize and support the patient's medical condition.
- Monitor and adjust specialized equipment used on patients, and interpret and record electronic displays, such as intracranial pressures, central venous pressures, pulmonary artery pressures, and cardiac rhythms from cardiac monitors, respirators, ventilators, oxygen pumps, etc.
- Respond to life-saving situations based on nursing standards and protocol.
- Assess patient's needs and develops/revises an individualized plan of care based on patient needs and responses.
- Evaluate the patient's progress toward attaining expected outcomes.
- Respects diversity by building respectful relationships with all team members and customers.
- Functions as a patient and family advocate.
- Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
- Maintains current licensure as a registered nurse in the State of Florida or Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).
- Maintains current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification or willing to obtain within 30 days of hire.
- ACLS, NRP, PALS, TNCC are required for certain areas.
- 1 year Operating Room experience.
