Your Responsibilities
Ensure compliance with ABB's Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards, as well as the ABB Way and Safety Manual. Maintain an up-to-date understanding of safety protocols and execute work activities accordingly. Expand your technical expertise in line with recognized industry standards. Manage warranty administration effectively while being responsible for the hands-on execution of projects, including startup, commissioning, troubleshooting, engineering, design, and repair of Power Delivery equipment. This encompasses transformers, switchgear, circuit breakers, busways, UPS, ATS, PLCs, relays, and power management control systems.
Perform essential administrative tasks such as drafting technical reports, procuring materials, obtaining quotations, and preparing job status updates. Exercise sound judgment in managing company expenditures and safeguarding capital investments by maintaining the equipment for which you are accountable. Contribute to the ongoing development of Installation and Field Services Engineering Standards and Procedures relevant to your specialty, ensuring all work aligns with these standards. Strive for exceptional customer satisfaction in every interaction.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a High School Diploma with a minimum of 10 years of relevant field experience.
- At least 5 years of experience in field engineering.
- Technical proficiency in testing power distribution and delivery systems, including Low Voltage and Medium Voltage Breakers, Switchgear, Relays, and Transformers. Experience in the repair and refurbishment of LV and MV circuit breakers is preferred.
- Strong ability to cultivate customer relationships.
- Proven capability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Customer service-oriented mindset.
- Proficient in computer applications, including Outlook, Excel, PowerDb software, and Word.
- Willingness to travel approximately 50% of the time and maintain a valid passport and driver's license.
- Work authorization that permits employment with ABB in the US is required.
