Job Summary

Rose Acre Farms is seeking a skilled Equipment Mechanic to join our team. As an Equipment Mechanic, you will be responsible for repairing, maintaining, and servicing equipment for Rose Acre Farms and Rose Acre Farms Transport.

Key Responsibilities
  • Repair and maintain equipment to ensure optimal performance and efficiency
  • Conduct regular inspections and diagnostic tests to identify potential issues
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes and tire rotations
  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth operations
Essential Job Functions
  • Determine vehicle condition by conducting inspections and diagnostic tests
  • Keep equipment available for use by completing preventive maintenance schedules
  • Correct vehicle deficiencies by removing, repairing, adjusting, overhauling, assembling, disassembling, and replacing major assemblies, sub-assemblies, components, parts, or systems
  • Maintain vehicle records by annotating services and repairs
  • Keep shop equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, maintaining supplies, performing preventive maintenance, and calling for repairs
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient working environment at all times
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Must be able to understand, read, write, and speak English
  • Previous knowledge or experience in gas or diesel equipment maintenance and repair
  • Must be able to lift 70 lbs on a daily basis
  • Must be highly organized and able to work without continuous direct supervision on the job
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including late shifts and occasional weekends and holidays
  • Must be capable of organizing a list of tasks by priority and accomplishing tasks in a timely manner
  • Must maintain a strong sense of safety in dealing with Rose Acre equipment
  • Must be willing to comply with all Rose Acre's employment policies
  • Ability to comply with the strictest standards for animal welfare and report incidents of abuse, neglect, or breach of bio-security
Work Environment
  • Must be able to work in an agricultural environment, indoors, outdoors, office, warehouse, processing, and farm production areas
  • Must be willing and able to work past scheduled leave time to complete the job, if needed
  • Must be able to work in an open office setting
  • Must maintain professionalism with coworkers
