As a family-owned enterprise, we have been delivering innovative solutions for milking and manure management in the dairy industry since 1989. Our operations span across multiple states, fostering a close-knit team environment.
We provide competitive hourly wages ranging from $18 to $35 per hour based on experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes a 401(k) with matching contributions, health, dental, vision, and life insurance, paid time off, overtime compensation, on-call double pay, and opportunities for bonuses.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install and maintain a variety of dairy equipment
- Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance and repairs
- Offer after-hours support and communication to clients
- Manage and operate service vehicles
- Travel to client locations to perform necessary tasks
- Ensure a clean and organized workspace and shop
- Be available for on-call shifts as per the assigned schedule
Qualifications:
Familiarity with conventional and robotic milking systems and manure handling equipment (e.g., GEA, Lely)
Proficiency in troubleshooting air compressors and commercial refrigeration systems
General understanding of dairy production systems and processes (CIP, milk handling, vacuum, cow care, etc.)
Skills in fabrication and welding (Plasma table, lathe, TIG, MIG, stick)
Capability to create 2D drawings and 3D models (AutoCAD, Inventor, SolidWorks)
Ability to interpret prints, diagrams, manufacturing packets, and manuals
Competence in reading and understanding various prints and schematics (electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic)
Additional qualifications include:
- Background in agriculture or related knowledge
- Ability to adapt and maintain focus in fast-paced, time-sensitive projects
- Experience with hand and power tools
- Broad mechanical aptitude
- Capacity to work independently as well as collaboratively
- Positive attitude with a problem-solving approach and keen attention to detail
- Valid driver’s license with a clean record
