Job Title: Director 1, Strategy & Data Analytics

Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems sector is seeking a highly skilled and diverse professional to join our team in Melbourne, FL.

Job Summary:

This strategic leadership role is centered on championing the development, articulation, and execution of engineering strategies, ensuring alignment with Annual Operating Plans (AOP), the Long-Range Strategic Plan (LRSP), our Sector Vision, and the needs of our existing programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement enterprise strategies to drive business growth and improvement.
  • Execute a $40M+ project portfolio on-cost and on-schedule, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results.
  • Lead technical teams focused on delivering actionable data-driven insights to internal customers, promoting an analytics-driven culture within the organization.
  • Monitor and control the Engineering Non-contractual Technical Activity (NCTA) investment portfolio, ensuring effective resource allocation and optimization.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science (BS) in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM) discipline and 10 years of related professional experience; OR Master of Science (MS) in a STEM discipline and 8 years of related professional experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience leading technical teams.
  • At least 2 years of experience formulating and implementing organizational strategic plans and roadmaps.
  • At least 2 years of experience in monitoring and controlling project/program cost, schedule, and technical performance.
  • Must have an active DoD Secret or higher clearance.
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience managing projects/programs exceeding $5M/year.
  • Experience leading teams of data analytics and/or software development professionals.
  • Familiarity with data analytics tools such as Python, SQL, and Tableau.
  • Strong analytical mindset with superior problem-solving abilities, and the aptitude for making informed, data-driven decisions.
  • Experience briefing executive teams with the ability to effectively manage and align executive expectations.
  • Current, active DOD Top Secret clearance or higher.
