Electrical Engineering Manager Role

The Electrical Engineering Manager at Sun Nuclear Corporation plays a pivotal role in overseeing the technical execution of various projects. Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct the technical work of the Electrical Engineering group, ensuring timely and efficient project completion in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Implement, communicate, and ensure compliance to the Sun Nuclear design controls process, staying current with regulatory requirements for medical device development.
  • Conduct thorough technical reviews for schematics, PCBA layouts, cables, circuit analysis, test plans, firmware review, and regression tests, risk assessments, and technical documentation of final design.
  • Evaluate concepts and technology for new products, proposing alternate system requirements as necessary.
  • Design electrical circuits encompassing analog, digital, communication, and power supplies, collaborating closely with mechanical engineering and physics departments.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering.
  • 5+ years of experience in electrical engineering, specifically in the development of embedded electromechanical systems.
  • 3+ years of experience in engineering management, with a background in quality system regulated engineering environments, preferably in medical devices.
  • Ability to influence technical decisions across the engineering function and the business, with technical acumen in areas such as product specification, low noise analog circuit design, microcontroller-based digital design, firmware design, and encoded stepper and DC motor control design.
