We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Direct Support Professional to join our team at Services For The Underserved, Inc. (S:US). As a Direct Support Professional, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in living their best lives.
Key Responsibilities- Provide habilitation services to clients as prescribed in their individualized service plans.
- Assist clients with skill development in areas such as activities of daily living, domestic living, recreation, and socialization.
- Administer medication to clients as assigned and in compliance with management, medical, and nursing policies and procedures.
- Ensure clients' nutritional needs are met according to prescribed diets and assist with feeding as necessary.
- Report any observed or known deficiencies or inability to provide habilitation services to clients, as well as all types of abuse and facility problems, to management.
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's Degree preferred.
- One year's experience providing direct services to developmentally disabled persons preferred.
- Preferred certifications: AMAP, SCIP-R, CPR, and First Aid.
