Job Description

At Discovery Village at Naples, we are seeking a skilled Cook to join our culinary team. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing hot and cold menu items, ensuring the proper preparation, portioning, and serving of foods, and maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook a variety of menu items, including hot and cold dishes, salads, and desserts.
  • Ensure that all food is prepared and presented to the highest standards of quality and presentation.
  • Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
  • Work effectively as part of a team to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Develop and implement new menu ideas and recipes to enhance the dining experience.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in food preparation and service, preferably in a senior living environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and residents.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
