About the Role:

The Culinary Specialist plays a vital role in the success of our culinary team at Gardens At Terracina Health & Rehabilitation. This position is responsible for preparing cold food and bakery items, as well as assisting with hot meal preparation as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare meals that meet the highest standards of quality and presentation.
  • Inspect special diet trays to ensure accurate serving of resident diets.
  • Prepare cold item foods, bakery, and salad items.
  • Assist with hot meal preparation, ensuring culinary practices and food safety are followed.
  • Adhere to food service timelines and maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of one or more years of food preparation experience in a directly related field.
  • Culinary background experience preferred.
  • Proficient in English, verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Active Serve Safe Certification or Food Handlers Certificate preferred.
