Position Summary

We are in search of a seasoned and driven Construction Project Advisor to enhance our team. This position entails travel to various project locations, both regionally and across the nation. The successful candidate will possess a robust background in construction management, exceptional analytical skills, and the capacity to navigate diverse environments and challenges.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and assess construction activities, conducting thorough investigations and data reviews.
  • Perform detailed analyses and prepare technical deliverables and reports.
  • Engage actively in construction projects, demonstrating independence with minimal supervision.
  • Manage assignments effectively, ensuring adherence to budget and timelines.
  • Execute tasks with technical expertise, precision, and professionalism.
  • Provide on-site management and monitoring of construction initiatives.
  • Interpret and review construction drawings, specifications, and contractual documents.
  • Evaluate construction performance and document activities to ensure compliance.
  • Analyze project health to identify risks related to schedule, cost, quality, and safety.
  • Conduct technical evaluations of construction deficiencies and investigate claims.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports auditing construction projects and finances.
  • Review and formulate construction contract claims.
  • Develop specialized technical skills as required.
  • Fulfill additional project duties as assigned by management.

Management Duties

  • Supervise entry-level consultants as needed.
  • Manage staffing assignments for projects within the designated area.
  • Oversee the training and development of junior team members.
  • Prepare and manage project budgets effectively.
  • Regularly review project reports to monitor budgets and make necessary adjustments.
  • Maintain personal billability in line with targets set by senior leadership.

Business Development & Marketing

  • Engage in the Account Management Program.
  • Utilize CRM tools to enhance business development efforts.
  • Participate in technical presentations and webinars.
  • Contribute to the creation of technical marketing materials.

Operational Requirements

Travel is a requirement for this role, which may include local and nationwide trips, with potential overnight stays on short notice.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical, management, or engineering field.
  • A minimum of six (6) years of experience in the construction industry.
  • Strong technical knowledge and skills relevant to the role.
  • Familiarity with construction contract administration practices.
  • Excellent communication, writing, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage complex tasks and multiple priorities under pressure.
  • Proficiency in standard software applications.

Special Considerations

  • Licensure as an Engineer or Architect is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Certifications such as CDT, CCCA, or CCM are preferred.
  • Familiarity with Primavera P6 is a plus.
  • OSHA-30 certification is preferred.
