Our objective is to provide reliable, highly available, and user-friendly services to our internal stakeholders, particularly in support of cloud solutions for government clients.
We are in search of a proactive engineer who is committed to delivering exceptional results for our users. This position is hands-on, focusing on the maintenance and enhancement of existing services, including Windows build and deployment capabilities, application packaging, deployment requests, and troubleshooting for all technologies managed by our team.
You will collaborate closely with the Security Compliance team to ensure that all desktop environments meet security standards. A strong and varied technical background is essential, enabling you to tackle challenges with confidence and creativity.
As a successful Windows Client Engineer, you will be responsible for driving the design and implementation of new services, identifying opportunities for improvement and automation of current services, and providing mentorship to junior team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the deployment, configuration, and management of core services, including directory services, file and print services, DNS/DHCP, and application servers.
- Adapt and enhance operational management systems to support rapid growth in systems and traffic.
- Lead efforts to resolve critical issues affecting services, including root cause analysis.
- Mentor and develop a team of Operational Engineers, focusing on delivering reliable services.
- Drive continuous improvement in operational processes.
- Balance cost considerations with usability and operational efficiency.
- Lead the development of advanced system health monitoring and automation tools.
- Innovate in the areas of monitoring and visualization of system health and maintenance tasks.
Basic Qualifications
- Associate's degree or relevant certifications (Cloud+, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP).
- Over eight years of experience supporting Windows operating systems, with expertise in at least four of the following: AD, DHCP, PowerShell, SCCM, SCOM, DNS, and disaster recovery.
- Three or more years of experience in automation and scripting within Windows environments using PowerShell.
- Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Ten or more years of experience supporting Windows operating systems.
- Strong experience in areas such as Multi-Factor Authentication, Endpoint Detection and Response, and Virtual Desktop Infrastructure.
