We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team at Contra Costa Water District. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for installing, troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing mechanical equipment and machinery found in our water treatment plants, distribution systems, and related facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Install, maintain, and repair mechanical equipment and machinery
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues
- Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure equipment is running efficiently
- Collaborate with other team members to achieve operational goals
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices
- Equivalent to completion of the twelfth (12th) grade and completion of a mechanical apprenticeship or completion of a two-year program at an accredited community college or trade school
- Three (3) years of experience in installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical equipment, systems, and components
- Possession of a valid California driver's license
Employees may be required to work outside their normal workweek/workday, which may consist of evenings, weekends, and holidays.
