Job Overview

WMH is seeking a seasoned Senior Field Service Mechanic/Technician to join our elite team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing advanced diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on a variety of material handling equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Advanced Diagnostics and Repairs: Perform complex diagnostics and repairs on material handling equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and other machinery.
  • Maintenance Excellence: Expertly identify and resolve mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues to ensure quick and effective resolutions. Conduct thorough preventive maintenance to guarantee equipment longevity and reliability.
  • Mentorship: Provide guidance and training to junior technicians, fostering their development and ensuring high-quality workmanship, while sharing your expertise and promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Customer Service: Deliver exceptional customer service by effectively communicating with clients about the status and needs of their equipment.
  • Detailed Documentation: Maintain comprehensive records of work performed, including parts used and labor hours, ensuring compliance with company standards.
  • Safety Leadership: Promote and adhere to all safety regulations and standards, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and others.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices to continually enhance your skills and knowledge.

Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience as a mechanic/technician in the material handling, automotive, or heavy equipment industries.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training is a plus.
  • Skills: Advanced mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting skills. Proficiency with diagnostic tools and equipment.
  • Leadership: Strong leadership and mentoring abilities with a focus on team development.
  • Customer Focus: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a strong customer service orientation.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy objects, stand for extended periods, and work in various environmental conditions.
  • Licenses/Certifications: Valid driver's license required; certifications in forklift maintenance and repair are highly preferred.
