Cardiac Anesthetist Job Description

Emory Healthcare is seeking a skilled Cardiac Anesthetist to join our team at Emory University Hospital and Emory University Hospital Midtown. As a Cardiac Anesthetist, you will be responsible for administering general and regional anesthesia to patients undergoing surgical and non-surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer general and regional anesthesia to patients undergoing surgical and non-surgical procedures
  • Interpret and record patient physiological and pharmacological status
  • Assist the Anesthesiologist in gathering routine pre-op data
  • Establish multi-parameter monitoring of patients prior to, during, and after anesthesia
  • Manage pre- and post-anesthetic care, including ventilator management and other respiratory care parameters
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) or Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant (CAA) Master's Degree program
  • Licensed or eligible to practice in the State of Georgia
  • Certified by National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA) or National Commission for Certification of Anesthesiologist Assistants (NCCAA)
  • Must maintain biannual certification through the submission of Continuing Medical Education credits (CMEs)
  • BLS certification from American Heart Association (AHA) required
