Cardiac Anesthetist Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiac Anesthetist to join our team at Emory University Hospital and Emory University Hospital Midtown. As a Cardiac Anesthetist, you will be responsible for administering general and regional anesthesia to patients undergoing surgical and non-surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer general and regional anesthesia to patients undergoing surgical and non-surgical procedures
  • Monitor patients' physiological and pharmacological status
  • Assist the Anesthesiologist in gathering routine pre-op data
  • Establish multi-parameter monitoring of patients prior to, during, and after anesthesia
  • Manage pre- and post-anesthetic care, including ventilator management and other respiratory care parameters
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) or Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant (CAA) Master's Degree program
  • Licensed or eligible to practice in the State of Georgia
  • Certified by National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA) or National Commission for Certification of Anesthesiologist Assistants (NCCAA)
  • BLS certification from American Heart Association (AHA) required
What We Offer:
  • Competitive salary range: $225,000 - $295,000 per year
  • $30,000 sign-on bonus for Full Time, 1.0FTE
  • Eligible for extra duty pay, overnight shift allowance, CME time-off & allowances, Student Loan Repayment program
  • 37 days of PTO for Full Time, 1.0FTE
  • Benefits coverage, including PTO accrual, will begin from first day of employment
