Position SummaryWe are seeking a skilled contractor to enhance our Desktop Support/PC Technician team. This team, comprising approximately five members, is dedicated to assisting internal staff with various technical issues. Responsibilities include managing escalated support requests from the helpdesk, overseeing printer and multi-function device operations, and configuring new workstations.
Key Responsibilities- Timely response to incident tickets related to end-user support issues, focusing on Microsoft Windows, business applications, and hardware challenges.
- Installation and configuration of hardware, software, and necessary drivers.
- Maintenance and repair of computer systems and peripheral devices.
- Providing second-tier support for escalated issues from the Support Desk.
Essential Skills:
- Strong communication abilities, with a knack for explaining technical concepts in user-friendly terms.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Windows, PC hardware, and networking fundamentals.
- Exceptional organizational and time-management capabilities.
- Ability to document technical issues and their resolutions effectively.
- Willingness to learn, follow guidance, and collaborate within a team environment.
Educational Background:
A Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related discipline is preferred; however, a high school diploma is mandatory.
