As a vital member of the team, you will engage with leading experts in the opto-electronic field, utilizing state-of-the-art high-speed opto-electronic laboratory tools. Your responsibilities will include the characterization and testing of advanced 100G and 200G PAM-4 optical modules, as well as configuring sophisticated DSP-based SerDes to ensure adherence to industry standards and client requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with a distinguished team of opto-electronic professionals, employing advanced laboratory equipment to develop, characterize, and test high-speed optical modules tailored for machine learning and AI applications.
- Characterize high-speed analog integrated circuits and set up DSP-based SerDes from leading vendors to interface effectively with optical modules.
- Verify module compliance with industry standards such as IEEE Ethernet, OIF CEI, and PCIe Gen5/6, while creating test benches and specifications for production validation.
- Conduct system evaluations with top manufacturers in the ML/AI, datacom, and telecom sectors. Work alongside integrated optics and high-speed electronics teams to resolve hardware challenges.
- Analyze and interpret measurement data to inform product development, design, and troubleshooting initiatives.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Hands-on experience in the experimental characterization of DSP-based high-speed optical communication systems.
- Proficiency in using optical and high-speed electronics testing and measurement instruments.
- Excellent communication and documentation capabilities.
- Familiarity with Python for scientific computing, ADS simulations, and high-speed optical Ethernet (100G, 200G), as well as PCIe Gen 5/6 is a plus.
