Position Overview:
The Nuclear Medicine Specialist plays a crucial role in the healthcare team by preparing, measuring, and administering radiopharmaceuticals for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes. This position involves conducting nuclear medicine examinations and participating in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) initiatives while ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals for various medical procedures.
  • Conduct nuclear medicine studies and assist in advanced diagnostic techniques.
  • Engage in CQI activities to enhance service quality and patient care.
  • Maintain adherence to federal, state, and local regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:
Applicants should possess an Associate's degree, with a Bachelor's degree preferred. Graduation from an accredited Radiology Sciences program with certification in nuclear medicine is required. Candidates must hold the appropriate state certification to practice and administer radiopharmaceuticals, along with a current state license and active certification in nuclear medicine technology. A valid Basic Life Support (CPR) certification from a recognized provider is also mandatory.
