Position Overview:
AECOM is seeking a highly skilled Environmental Engineer to join our Industrial Remediation Practices team. This role focuses on the design and operation of remediation systems, alongside conducting thorough soil and groundwater investigations.

Key Responsibilities:
The selected candidate will possess substantial experience in the design and management of remediation systems, including oversight of operations, maintenance, and monitoring activities. The role demands proficiency in data management and the production of technical reports.

Essential Skills and Experience:
- Expertise in engineering for environmental water collection, conveyance, and treatment systems.
- Knowledge of stormwater management and sediment control engineering, including permitting processes.
- Provide engineering and design support for various remediation projects in both private and municipal sectors.
- Coordinate and oversee field investigations prior to design phases.
- Experience in remedial technology design, particularly in water and wastewater systems.
- Familiarity with PFAS-related project life cycles, including investigation, treatment design, and implementation.
- Ability to analyze data and prepare comprehensive engineering reports, plans, and specifications using established engineering practices.

Project Management:
The role involves planning and managing environmental fieldwork, including the operation and maintenance of remediation systems, groundwater sampling, and oversight of subcontractors. The candidate will also support project managers in budgeting, scheduling, and scope development.

Interpersonal Skills:
Strong verbal and written communication skills are crucial, as the position requires collaboration with engineers and scientists on diverse remediation projects. The ability to build trusting relationships with clients and colleagues is essential.

Travel Requirements:
Willingness to travel to project sites, which may include driving and overnight stays, is necessary. The role may require a travel commitment of up to 30%.

Commitment to Quality:
Implementing project deliverable requirements in accordance with the AECOM Quality Management System is a key aspect of this position. The candidate should demonstrate a commitment to workplace health and safety, along with a positive attitude and a willingness to mentor junior staff.
